On the Carcharodon, we use only PENN Rods and Reels the most reliable and warrantied in the world.

Why? LOLOF, we've busted rods, broke reels many times while 'outclassed' by a larger fish than expected and PENN just sends a new rod, repairs the reel and away we go. We love 'em!

Every spring, all the Penn Reels get their spring tune-up. Drags are replaced, springs, nuts, bolts and anything else we see wearing are changed out.

New line is put on to start the season; and changed as needed.

Lighter trolling tackle

Want to have some fun? Try trolling these babies for those larger 20 lb 'Blues; or better yet, a nice school of False Albacore or Skipjacks! They can take it.  The rods are 30lb IGFA rated, and I've used the same setups for sailfish in Florida and White Marlin up & down the east coast.

Real fun? On a chunk trip (after we've got a nice catch of tuna for you & your crew) we'll set up a few of these & really battle the Yellowfins!

Fluke, Sea Bass & Bluefish Tackle

Let me tell you: I've never had so much fun with 20 lb tackle!  Even my dad agreed you hook-up with some 10-15 lb Bluefish with this tackle & you've got a 'fair' fight on your hands!

Spooled with 20 lb Momoi "Diamond" line (wow, this stuff is strong as heck) you can pull 10 lb Fluke out of 60' of water, beat nice plump Blackfish or Sea Bass before they drag you into the wrecks or battle those chopper Blues' all you want!
